Eating Disorder Is More Of A Mental Disorder
Eating disorder is a severe problem which is commonly found among youngsters and teenagers. It is a disorder, which is basically due to a misconception among that eating less would trim down there bulging bellies. Among youngsters, especially young girls are more prone to such a disorder. There are two types of eating disorder either the persons eats too much or simply does not eats.
Eating disorder is called as anorexia. It is basically a wrong mindset which leads to such a disorder. Eating habits are the once, which are inculcated right from childhood in any human being. Genuinely, meals of the day are divided in three parts-the breakfast, lunch and dinner but these meals may have different time period. While one may have the dinner at ten it is possible that some may take their dinner at eight. In other words eating habits depend on the lifestyle of a person. Moreover, eating depends on the appetite as well as the taste carvings. Taste buds are the most covert agents that make you eat even at odd hours. Our tongue is more sensitive to spicy and tangy food and nobody could ever overcome food cravings.
It is believed that the most effective way to reduce weight is to go on a diet regime no matter how much junk you have had all through the week. Dieting or eating less might reduce the growing pounds but it will also evaporate the strength of your body. Eating less is not the solution if your body weight is increasing. Often anorexia patients are the ones which have grasped this wrong conclusion for their problems. Nevertheless they have relied so much so on this solution that they even have brought it to practice.
Though anorexia has been cured in many people but the treatment has relapsed because of the mindset of the patient. Eating disorder is much more a mental problem rather than a physical ailment. Since the problem is mental, it should be cured from the root level. Firstly an anorexia patient should understand that dieting or eating less will not reduce their weight. They must cut down on junk food and have more of strengthening food stuff like fruits and vegetables. There are many cases detected of eating disorder in children as well. Children basically like to eat more of tangy stuff, which can tickle their taste buds. In children the problem has an easy cure if it has not reached to extremities. Mothers should take care in such a case. They must make food which is healthy as well as tastes good. For instance, sprouts and boiled cereals should be given in the breakfast rather than giving burgers and patties. Do not completely remove burgers and junk food from the menu but make sure it is not taken regularly. Add up more variety to the meals and try out different recipes as it will interest the child also to eat new dishes.
